My name is Henrik Højgaard. I'm years old.
I’m a consultant in anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine, and over the years I’ve worked with some of the most complex cases in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery. A big part of my clinical journey has been caring for patients with severe heart failure and supporting some of them through advanced treatments like VA-ECMO and LVAD/Impella.
What drives me is not only the clinical side but also the chance to bring technology into healthcare. With a strong background in IT and computer science, I enjoy developing digital solutions, using data to guide leadership, and helping to bridge the gap between medical practice and technology.
I also teach, do research, and take part in leadership and development projects – always with patient safety, quality, and innovation at the centre.
